Inspiration

Roughly a year ago, a student from City College went missing on campus last year. Our goal is to prevent that from ever happening again

What it does

It routes students to subway stations from their respective colleges. It is meant to provide a secure way for students to commute by pairing them up. Especially during late hours

How we built it

We used react native as a front end, and python django rest framework as backend which is hosted on IBM bluemix's cloud foundry

Challenges we ran into

Setting up database models and constructing use cases that actually ensure a students safety

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Utilizing the diverse skills of each member for developing our prototype

What we learned

That with a great idea, there is always a solution

What's next for Rendezvous

To build a user base and connect with Universities (starting with CUNY schools). Our primary goal would be to build a solution personalized to suit their needs and requirements
