Inspiration
Every kid dreams of having cool spy tools to use. Drawing inspiration from childhood dreams, we have developed a multipurpose SpyWatch with easily accessible tools
What it does
The watch has various components. The knobs normally used to adjust time are secretly a blade and a lock pick, which can be used in times of dire need. A secret compartment which can be used to access the watch in a specific way may be used to conceal any other spy gadgets a user may need.
How we built it
Using pencil and paper to initially plan out our idea, we built a prototype of this watch using CAD software, and later printed it with a 3D printer.
Challenges we ran into
Classic printer errors were very prominent while we were constructing this, many times parts did not print properly and we made adjustments in order to reprint and successfully fix some of the malfunctioning parts.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the secrecy behind the RenderSphere Ultimate. It appears as a traditional analog watch, with simple knobs to change and adjust the time, however in reality it has many components a spy could use, even if they were trapped and tied up in a room.
What we learned
Our group has learned how to overcome unavoidable errors, and that with proper planning we will always be able to fix and adjust for malfunctions. In general our confidence in design and CAD has increased.
What's next for RenderSphere Ultimate Spywatch
Now that the design is done, electrical components such as batteries, gps, microphone recorder may be added and installed in the watch. Since there is extra space in the hidden compartment, the watch can be catered to any spies needs.
