My 3-Day Wellness Journey With Renal-AI

Balancing health with academic obligations can be challenging as a university student, and kidney health was something I had never given much thought to before. For this hackathon, I used Renal-AI to role-play as a healthy student with an emphasis on long-term wellness and prevention. Through this experience, I gained a deeper understanding of how small lifestyle decisions can have a significant impact on kidney health and overall well-being.

I started by adding basic ingredients that were already available in my kitchen, including rice, dal, apples, cucumber, yogurt, lemon, carrots, and potatoes. Renal-AI evaluated these ingredients immediately and provided feedback on their alkaline qualities, balance, and kidney safety. What impressed me most was that the AI did not recommend complicated or impractical meals. Instead, it created a realistic and achievable plan using items I already had.

Day 1

Day 1 meals included baked potatoes with peas and yogurt, rice pudding with cinnamon, and dal with a lemon-flavored cucumber salad. Along with food guidance, Renal-AI suggested light physical activities such as stretching and short walks, while also emphasizing the importance of maintaining a consistent sleep schedule. These recommendations were simple to implement and blended naturally into my daily routine.

Day 2

Day 2 featured a refreshing yogurt, apple, and orange smoothie. I prepared this smoothie in real life, and it was easy, delicious, and energizing. This experience helped me realize that healthy eating does not have to be tedious or time-consuming. Lunch and dinner consisted of vegetable stir-fried rice and a light vegetable soup. The gentle activity plan helped me stay active without feeling overwhelmed.

Day 3

By Day 3, the routine no longer felt forced but instead became organic and sustainable. Meals such as lemon-herb roasted potatoes with dal and carrot and pea rice pilaf reinforced the importance of moderation and balance. The most important lesson from this experience was Renal-AI’s holistic approach, demonstrating that sleep, exercise, and consistency are just as important as food for healing and prevention.

Reflection

Overall, this experience changed my perspective on wellness. Preventive healthcare now feels straightforward, practical, and sustainable thanks to Renal-AI. I would gladly use this platform again and recommend it to other students who want to improve their health without making major lifestyle changes. This journey showed how AI can meaningfully and practically support everyday health.
