Inspiration
I've worked with the elderly in the hospice/nursing home where I've seen some of them decline due to Alzheimer's during my 6 years of working with them. It is an unfortunate fate for some and I wanted to create an app that can help patients receive earlier intervention to help with their mental health.
What it does
This app notifies the user to complete memory tasks (matching game of images) every day and graphs the percentage of correctness from each day every week. If there is a decline of correctness, the user is given fewer tasks and if there is progression, the user is given more tasks to complete for the next week. If there is a continuous decline, then the user is notified of what stage they may possibly be in and notified to seek medical treatment and/or consultation.
How I built it
I used Flutter and Dart.
Challenges I ran into
Since it's my first time using Flutter and Dart, I've run into problems with collecting my data and graphing it. I've also had trouble familiarizing myself with its UI.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm happy that I was able to successfully implement APIs and ended up with a workable matching game!
What I learned
I learned how to implement APIs, images, and different frameworks.
What's next for Reminder (Alzheimer's Track)
I want to fix any problems I have with the app and try to add a feature where the family has access to the graphs. I've also wanted to add a calendar that the family has access to as well which can help notify the user every hour of the day to give the patient a more structured and organized schedule to follow by.

- dart
