Inspiration
One of our team member's grandmother forgot to take her pills and as a result passed away.
What it does
It creates a schedule of times that the patient is supposed to take their pills. And at the designated time, notifications are sent to their computer, phone, smart watch, etc. reminding them to take their pills. There will also be a pill box that stores their pills and has a button to push that will shut the notifications off. If the patient does not cancel the notification their doctor and or primary care physician will be notified.
How We built it
We created a system that can run off of just about any piece hardware in Python that tracks if a user has taken their pill. It communicates with a web server and a Java application that both monitor the schedule. The system then runs off RESTful APIs that communicate between each other to display the apporpiate information.
Challenges We ran into
-Sleep deprivation -Express-JS
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
-Express-JS -Being able to integrate 3 different systems into a singular entitity
What I learned
-Express-JS
What's next for Rememberance
-Getting to work on smart tvs, smart fridges, and all other Internet capable devices so that a patient will never miss their meds
