Inspiration
People tend to forget words, their meanings so we thought making an app to help remember words with daily notifications to keep people posted.
What it does
The app will search for the meaning of the given words and will store it in a private dictionary. The app lets you enable notifications that will ping you after specified interval so that you don't forget the word easily. You can even take tests to check your vocabulary and track your progress.
How we built it
The app is built on the Android platform completely made in Android Studio.
Challenges we ran into
Use of many external APIs caused much conflicts in the app which were hard to debug and tackle.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We had never built an app at this level in such a short span of time. We're proud this Hackathon gave us an opportunity to build something in a small time.
What we learned
We learned how important is the User Interface, so gave most attention to the design of the app.
What's next for Remember Me
Thinking of more optimisations with much better APIs and database connectivity in the next version.
