ReliefLink is a reliable companion for individuals struggling with thoughts of harming themself. It is an easy-to-use app with a handsome interface that helps you monitor how you feel; reminds you of daily medications, upcoming appointments, or any important things that keep you safe; connects you to local mental health resources you need, from locating a therapist to the nearest crisis center; links you to your online social network through twitter, to follow inspirational tweets, stay in touch with your friends and family, and learn about new resources; and provides you with relaxation and mindfulness exercises that can help you gain more control over your thoughts and feelings. More importantly, ReliefLink takes you through simple step-by-step safety planning and offers prompts to help you remember the safety plan you developed with your mental health professional. When you are in a crisis, like feeling really depressed or suicidal, it reminds you to go through your safety plan, and links you directly to emergency help, including local crisis access services and live chat and hotlines at the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
