Reliable Medication

Inspiration

We got the inspiration when we itself face the same issues in the nearby medicine retailer. We often face a scenario when we are convinced to buy the medicines of other companies under the excuse of same composition.

What it does

Basically our project make sure that the patient is delivered with the correct medicine and dosage and it helps the patient to spend money on the correct product.

How we built it

For this, we created a sample database using MYSQL which will store the various details which includes medicine name corresponding to a particular disease, trustworthy company, price, dosage. How it will work :- A person arrives at the medicine store with a list of medicines. The chemist enters the data mentioned in the prescription into the program along with name of the patient. The program checks the authenticity of the product mentioned in the prescription. In order to check the authenticity, a comparison is drawn between the entered product and the predefined product. Once the authenticity is done, the final amount is printed, if not then corresponding warning message is shown.

Challenges we ran into

We couldn't find a predefined database so that we can work upon it and it was quite tedious for us to build a dataset in short duration to operate.

Polished our knowledge in database management and integration of it with python programming language.

What's next for Reliable Medication

After this we will try to incorporate the feature that will provide a complete guide regarding dosage and intake of proper diet for better recovery in the regional language regarding particular medication. We will try to build a monitoring app that will take care of the above mentioned scenario at an individual level.
