Inspiration
SpeakMyMind was created to allow others to be able to share their thoughts and express their mind, allowing them to release their anxieties and concerns of daily life with no expectations or constraints.
What it does
This platform provides a way for people to anonymously express their thoughts on what is bothering them. It provides a way to create forums where you can discuss issues that you are struggling with and get feedback or advice from others who have dealt with the same problems.
How we built it
We used the Laravel framework to create the back-end of the website while using HTML and CSS to create the front-end
Challenges we ran into
Creating the front-end was hard as ideas of the design were not lacking but the implementation surely was hard to execute. With little experience using HTML and CSS, it was hard to make the appropriate designs and interactive part of the website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a website with a database was a first for most of us. Talk less of a website with a working database.
What we learned
We learned how to connect the front-end of the database to the backend.
