RelayReady

Source-backed handovers. Clear next steps.

Great project work deserves a great handover. RelayReady gives the next person a clear place to begin: the decisions that matter, the actions to carry forward, and the documents that explain them.

The moment we designed for

A project is changing hands. The NAS holds the meeting notes, specifications, and delivery records. The incoming teammate has three immediate questions: What has been decided? What should happen next? Where can I find the evidence?

RelayReady organizes the handover around those questions. The user chooses the project folder and the goals that matter. The Skill then coordinates UGREEN’s registered file, document, and knowledge experts to prepare a brief grounded in those authorized sources.

A brief that keeps the project moving

The workflow starts with a goal coverage table. Each goal gains a visible connection to the documents that support it. Decisions retain their source references. Actions carry the owners and dates explicitly recorded in the project material. Where accounts differ, the brief presents them together with a focused review action.

That gives the reader something useful at every step: a clear answer, a source to open, or a decision to make.

Built around the life of a NAS project

Projects keep moving after the first handover. RelayReady’s repeat-run workflow reads a user-selected previous brief, checks the current sources, and labels each item Added, Updated, Reconfirmed, or Requires confirmation in a fresh version. Reconfirmed items have been checked against the current evidence. Source fingerprints make document changes visible, with a final check before saving. The original project files and earlier brief remain available.

UGREEN AI NAS is the home of this workflow: the source documents begin there, registered experts work with authorized material, and the finished Markdown brief returns to the chosen NAS location. The knowledge expert’s verified save response provides the output path and byte count. A full readback then checks the saved document against the approved brief, completing the handover with a verified artifact.

Round 1 achievements

The Round 1 design brings four connected capabilities into one focused Skill:

  • Goal-led evidence: handover questions guide source selection and coverage.
  • Traceable decisions and actions: every substantive item keeps its supporting material close.
  • Clear project continuity: repeat runs distinguish new developments, freshly reconfirmed work, and decisions for review.
  • An explicit finish: the workflow checks the saved artifact before reporting completion.

The five original Markdown files contain the Skill instructions, supporting references, and synthetic test cases for this workflow. The package has passed the official local checker with zero errors and zero warnings. Its next milestone is the assigned NAS session: installation, expert execution, complete save-and-reopen validation, and a recorded demonstration on the provided device.

What the demonstration will show

A small synthetic project archive becomes a source-linked handover brief. Then one project document changes. A second run produces a fresh version and a concise change list, showing the incoming teammate exactly where to pick up the work.

RelayReady gives project knowledge a clear next step.

Development disclosure

Created for the UGREEN hackathon using the official UGREEN Skill Developer Package. OpenAI Codex assists with concept exploration, workflow authoring, documentation, review, and local validation. Round 1 documents describe the authored workflow; the official NAS session supplies the device execution evidence.
