Reimagining the Productive App

Inspiration

As students ourselves, we have experienced firsthand the detrimental effects of procrastination on our studies. The ubiquity of this problem motivated us to address it head-on and help reduce procrastination among students. We were inspired by the everlasting impact procrastination has on academic performance and wanted to create a solution that would make a positive difference.

Learnings

Throughout the hackathon, we delved deep into the motivations behind procrastination and gained a comprehensive understanding of student academic considerations. We learned about the various factors that contribute to procrastination and explored strategies to combat it effectively. Our research provided valuable insights into the psychology of procrastination and the importance of accountability in overcoming this challenge.

Building the Project

As a team, we worked in perfect tandem to deliver consistent progress throughout the app design and iterative development processes. Leveraging various design strategies, we utilized the power of Figma as our primary design medium. Collaborating seamlessly, we focused on creating an intuitive user interface and seamless user experience that would empower students to overcome procrastination and stay on track with their tasks.

Challenges Faced

Building our project in a limited timeframe presented its fair share of challenges. Debugging the prototype and refining the interactions proved to be particularly demanding but rewarding tasks. We encountered hurdles along the way, but our perseverance and determination allowed us to overcome these obstacles. Additionally, time management as a team was a crucial challenge, considering the intense 24-hour hackathon duration. Despite these challenges, we remained resilient and committed to delivering a high-quality solution.

In conclusion, our hackathon journey has been a transformative experience. By addressing the everlasting problem of procrastination, we have deepened our knowledge of motivation, procrastination, and student academic considerations.
