Before conducting my final year project on the topic: "Perception of Pharmacy students on the use of Gamification and Advanced Technology as an educational strategy," I found out that a lot of students in Nigeria didn't know much about various advanced technologies including AI as well as the best ways to use these tools. In other to educate the participants before getting their response, I made videos using various AI tools, curated use cases, featured design ideas, whilst including illustration to drive the message.
My love for education, arts and social impact inspired me to jump on this challenge. I have so much to contribute, so why not!

Use Case Title
Conducting a Project Research and creating concepts using ChatGpt and D-ID AI
As a student conducting research, you can use D-ID AI and ChatGPT to make creative videos that will engage your participants, giving them a unique storytelling and learning experience. The video can also serve as a means of documentation and help researchers reach a broader audience to communicate findings.
Tutorial for Use and Best Practices
Launching the Conversation with ChatGPT:
- Type into ChatGPT: "I am a college student conducting a research project on [concept]. Help me create a script.
- List other possible best scenarios to explain the concept in a video."
i. You don't have to give broad information about who you are. Like stating the university you are in or the name of your supervisor. Just "college student" will do.
ii. You can choose to present the information on how it can generate the script to you. Or tell it to. That is: "I need two characters in the video, let this one be rude or polite." “Create a scenario of a patient whose stomach is grumbling and the Pharmacist keeps asking questions which upset the patient."
iii. You can place your script and tell it to modify it for you based on how to make it sound better.
iv. You can add more context based on how you want the script to begin, interplay and end by using things like "I want this video script to use apples demo format" " give me suitable background songs or sounds and add it at appropriate places"
Assessing and Asking Follow-Up Questions:
- Review the generated video script. If it sounds too robotic, specify areas that need to be more informal or characters that need a different tone.
- If the script is unclear, ask ChatGPT to explain it in simpler terms.
i. Engage with ChatGPT as if you're discussing creative ideas with friends.You can ask it things like “are you following?” and drop your next statements. Just enjoy the whole process.
ii. Don't hesitate to ask ChatGPT for ideas if you face creative blocks.
[Optional] Validate Your Examples:
- Input what you've written and ask ChatGPT to correct grammatical errors or make the language more active and strong.
- Request ChatGPT to provide better ways to explain the concept or suggest random examples.

NOW LET'S GET INTO THE SECOND PHASE
USING D-ID AI
Creating your content -you have the option to use D-ID to enter the script -create an audio recording with your phone or personal computer and upload it to the website.
i. Enter the script as you want them to sound putting in the necessary punctuation that can create a distinction.
ii.The audio being uploaded should be in MP3/MP4 format.
Launching the Video Making Experience with D-ID AI
- Choose a picture from the templates or select an image from the gallery that aligns with your content.
Generate pictures using prompts from ChatGPT.
i. Ensure the chosen photo matches the context of your content[For this video, I wanted to create diversity in relationship and people because the video will be open to everyone all over the world]
ii. Ask ChatGPT to provide suitable prompts for generating your images.
Suitability changes - Adjust the language usage, tone, and style of your content as needed. - Generate the video and present it.
i. Use the language tailor better to the audience you are presenting to in order to drive the message.
ii. Let the voice not only communicate but tell the story in a fun-like way. Tailor it to your audience. [Imagine seeing a white speaking Nigerian pidgin].

iii. While doing (ii) above, make sure that there isn't much deviation. In this case, the motive is to allow researchers over the world to communicate their views and expand. Hence the need for uniformity and races.
Impact on Learning
Utilizing D-ID AI and ChatGPT to create video content enhances the learning process and research. Students can use these tools to create engaging, informative videos that help others grasp complex concepts in an enjoyable manner. The ability to generate prompts and customize scenarios simplifies the content creation process, allowing you to control speaker timing and style.
The realism and quality of the content generated by D-ID AI can vary, and it may not always meet human expectations. Its performance is highly dependent on the quality and quantity of training data and may struggle to adapt to specific contexts. On its own, it lacks true creativity and imagination.
ChatGPT most times generate inaccurate information; to get the full dose of usage, a premium version should be considered fully. While D-ID AI is beneficial, it comes with limitations. It does not always produce the exact photo the users intend to generate. Users should be aware of potential discrepancies between their expectations and the results. There is also a high limit on the number of words users can put via script compared to the audio on the free version. Issues related to ownership and copyright of AI-generated content need to be addressed.
There is a need for regulation and proper guidelines to ensure ethical use and prevent misuse of D-ID AI
