Initially, we decided to join the datathon because there were many advertisements about it and the key word, "beginner friendly", captured our attention. As former year 1 students with little experience to datathon, we decided to take a leap of faith and participate in this challenge together.

Although it was promoted as a beginner-friendly competition, we found the task much more challenging than expected. Fortunately, there were some concepts such as Linear Regression and Adjusted R Square that we had learnt in our previous BT1101 module.

Luckily, there was a Zoom lecture that helped to break up the datathon into mini steps so this helped to give us a direction of how we can proceed with our project. Whenever we face challenges, we try our best to refer to the Zoom lecture as well as our own BT1101 notes. Thankfully, we were able to build a simple model.

Although our final product is not perfect, we are very proud of the journey. There were many times where we were confused but we told ourselves that we will find solutions and try our best to make something work. The fusion of theoretical foundations and practical application in this datathon has truly honed our analytical skills while building on our resilience and team spirit.
