Inspiration

We were inspired by how difficult it can be to find makeup that truly suits your own face. People often save looks from social media or follow generic tutorials, but the same products and techniques can look different on different features. We wanted to make makeup discovery more personal and help people feel confident experimenting with looks that complement them.

What it does

ReGlam helps users discover makeup that suits their facial features. Users can scan their face to get a personalized makeup routine, explore looks matched to them, and find product recommendations to help recreate those looks. Our goal is to make it easier to understand what to try, what products to use, and how to apply them.

How we built it

We built ReGlam as a mobile app using Flutter. We designed the experience around a face scanner, personalized makeup guidance, product recommendations, and a library of makeup looks. We focused on a clean, approachable interface that helps users move from discovering a look to learning how to recreate it.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was turning the broad idea of “makeup that suits me” into a clear, useful experience. We had to think about how to present personalized guidance without overwhelming users, and how to make recommendations feel relevant to different facial features, preferences, and skill levels.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud to have developed ReGlam’s concept and built its mobile experience in Flutter. ReGlam goes beyond showing makeup inspiration: it aims to connect users’ facial features with practical routines, relevant looks, and product recommendations.

What we learned

We learned that personalization is most valuable when it leads to clear next steps. Users need more than general beauty tips—they want to know which looks to try, which products to consider, and how to use them.

What’s next for ReGlam

Next, we want to improve the accuracy and usefulness of personalized recommendations, expand the makeup-look library, and make product suggestions more actionable. We also plan to refine the face-scanning experience and help users discover routines that fit their style, budget, and everyday needs.
