function : regimen is an advisor that would guide the user towards the best use of the medications they’re taking .Instead of reading through a drug label's full text, printed so small it's a chore just to get through, all it takes is typing in the drug name, answering a few relevant questions, and getting advice made for you. the process is divided to 3 steps : 1- you type every medication you’re currently taking ( one at a time ) 2- the websites searches for it in medical databases (RxNorm (NIH/NLM)) identifying the generic ingredient and drug class before pulling the its fda approved text ( openFDA ) for needed info , it scans it for 12 lifestyle-relevant patterns ( food timing, caffeine, alcohol, grapefruit, smoking, driving/sedation, sun exposure, hydration, dizziness on standing, dairy/calcium binding, time-of-day dosing, and pregnancy/breastfeeding. ) , finally the website asks you questions relevant to what each drug needs . 3- the user’s answers are compared against the label text , then presenting the result : what you are doing correctly and what needs adjustment , making sure you are safely using the drug .
inspiration : every time the elders of my family get prescribed a drug to use they ask me to read the notice for them , because it’s both time consuming and its text is very small in size it's genuinely hard to read . having a website dedicated and specified for that would allow elders to fix their lifestyle around a medication without the need to squint at a the tiny label .
