Inspiration

Sustainability efforts often fail without public participation. RegenNova was inspired by the idea of making eco-actions rewarding and accessible through smart tech. The amount of people affected by the

What it does

It rewards users for sorting waste and cleaning air using two core technologies: MycoTek (smart compost pods) and GreenLoop (AI algae panels), all tracked through a clean dashboard.

How we built it

The UI was designed in Figma and the full MVP was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript inside Replit. We used Chart.js for visual stats and deployed the final version on Netlify as a clean, mobile-ready static web app.

Challenges we ran into

Building without a backend, designing cross-page consistency, and creating responsive visuals and animations under free-tool limits.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built an end-to-end working MVP with strong branding, interactivity, and real-world value — all while ensuring it was scalable, clean, and user-friendly.

What we learned

How to turn a social problem into a tech product. Gained skills in UI/UX, gamification, environmental data, and building MVPs solo under tight timelines.

What's next for RegenNova

Pilot testing in schools or communities, adding real-time sensors, AI assistance, and scaling the reward model into a city-level or rural impact tool and creating a full fledged Regen-Nova pods for deployment in the near future.
