Inspiration

I know many people who have a bunch of stuff in their fridge, but don't know what to do, or even how to cook. Therefore, they're staving.

What it does

Just take an image of your food, put it onto discord, and our bot will create a recipe out of your foods.

How we built it

We used a CNN, along with css,html, and javascript for the website, and used gemini api for the recipe creation

Challenges we ran into

Taking image in the website, data processing in neural network, linking discord bot functions to main code, performance issues with the neural network, internet speed

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating our own neural network to identify different fruits, creating a website with frontend and backend, learning different api's such as discord and gemini

What we learned

Convolutional neural networks, different apis, web development

What's next for ReGen

incorporating our code into the website, making an app, generating our own recipes instead of relying on gemini, better neural network training, custom dataset
