RefuHeart

Inspiration

Recent and ongoing mass displacements of Ukrainians. Additionally, one of our team members knows many Ukrainians including some who have recently fled Ukraine.

What it does

Provides a crowdsourced website where refugees can share information. It should run on low bandwidth, in several languages, be anonymous, and most importantly, provide provide verified information.

How we built it

Python code and an open source embed model and LLM model.

Challenges we ran into

Choosing a topic due to the wide range of topics each member of the team is passionate about.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our ability for our team to come together and create a product in a short period of time.

What we learned

We learned that part of creating an AI is training it which is difficult to do in a short time period.

What's next for RefuHeart

We will train the model, test the product against requirements and adjust our website to meet any deficiencies, and finally, deploy the website.
