Reflora is a digital flower-sending app designed to reimagine how people express appreciation and connection through the gesture of giving flowers. The platform addresses common barriers like cost, accessibility, and time by using AI to suggest personalized digital bouquets based on the emotional tone of photos users upload. With just three steps—uploading photos, generating bouquet suggestions, and sending a card—Reflora makes gifting feel both meaningful and effortless. The experience maintains the sentiment of physical gifting while being more convenient and accessible for people with busy lifestyles or long-distance relationships.

In addition to personalized bouquet creation, Reflora incorporates features that encourage lasting connection. Recipients can view the intention behind the bouquet, save it as a widget to keep memories alive, and even grow their bouquet garden over time through in-app interactions. The platform plans to offer optional upgrades like real-life bouquet purchases and digital prints, creating a bridge between virtual and physical gifting. Reflora ultimately empowers users to nurture relationships in a modern, emotionally resonant way.

Inspiration

We were inspired by our own experiences with the difficulty of sending physical flowers -- it's time consuming, costly, often inaccessible, and hard to know which flowers are the best to pick to make your special someone feel valued and appreciate.d

How we built it

Figma for prototyping, Canva for Pitch Deck, ChatGPT was used to generate flower images.

  • Launch a growth feature where users can grow the bouquet over time as their relationship grows (measured by in-app messaging)
  • Bouquet garden with flower collections made from multiple bouquet gifts
  • Option to purchase real-life bouquet itself or digital print of it
