Inspiration

Real life challenges presented by working in placement at LGI.

What it does

Verifies a request a GP sends off for imaging or a secondary care referral.

Used AI for the front end demo workspaces imitating ICE and CRIS. Hand coded the back-end verification bot.

The main obstacle was that we did not have the tools that working medical professionals have to fully test our software.

We have managed to seamlessly integrate the verification steps into existing workflows that medical professionals use.

We hope to include more features which streamline the process even further, such as:

Automatically assigning a severity rating.
Sending a text message to the patient to tell them their request is being processed.
Emailing the GP about any correction they need to make.
