Crinan has been fencing for twelve years. Within twelve years, no apps or websites have been created for people to be able to properly keep track of fencing scores. We decided to change that.

To record the score during fencing matches a printed paper is used.

Some apps like ‘Fencing Score’ are used but there is a problem. The app does not keep track of all 3 persons’ scores and games. Meaning the referee would still need somewhere to write down the scores and potentially make the same table again.

To combat this problem, we created a website with JavaScript and React using the same layout as the printed sheets of paper use, incorporating useful elements from the Fencing Score app too.

Under the team names a score table appears where you can keep track of each team members points. After each match, the points update on the table according to the scores recorded using the timer and point counter system.

We learned how to stylise our page and make it easy to navigate for users.
