Inspiration
As a team of future statistician and environmental scientist, we were instantly drawn to this challenge. Global warming and climate change is not a "what-if" anymore, and it will have serious repercussions if we do not act now. Pollinator species such as the honey bees provide a valuable ecosystem service like no other. Honey bees alone are responsible for the pollination of hundreds of crops, ranging from fruits and vegetables, to forage for cattle. Using various data visualization tools including R, we will look into how climate change is effecting the activities of pollinators, and what this holds for the future.
