Inspiration:
Large amount of daily waste that everyone creates is shocking. In California,each person disposes 4.5 pounds/day in 2014. In order to solve this environmental problem, we develop rEDUce to educate future generations and make reducing a habit.
What it does:
1.Collect user input through our website in order to track students’ daily disposal of waste 2.Statistical analysis featuring daily or periodical waste disposed in student’s view 3.Ranking available in teacher’s view Teacher shows a part of the result and provides incentive in order to motivate student to reduce waste
How I built it
HTML5, PHP,CSS and javascript
Challenges I ran into
PHP to Javascript and vice versa were hard to implement and debug.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Making a project in a team. Learning new languages such as php within a day to build a basic application Dealing with the stress of deadlines while still having fun Making a mySQL database
