Inspiration
Inspired by videogame "Arctic Awakening", we canged completely the concept to fir the theme of "life in 2035".
What it does
We guide a stranded astronaut through radio messages for his survival.
How we built it
The content of the game (the messages) is contained in a .json file, and we read it and interpret it to display the options for the player.
Challenges we ran into
We needed to learn how to manage .json files, using wrapper methods and gson dependency. We struggled a lot to understand these new concepts and implement them.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The music and the text effects when opening the game makes it very cinematic, as well as the global interface and the buttons. The content of the game is highly scalable because of the segmented nature of the files.
What we learned
How to parse and wrap .json files and using gson dependency. Dealing with github as a team and uploading work on Devpost
What's next for Red Signal
We could add other situations and stories: the content is very scalable. We are exited about the potential use of resources management and map.
