Idea
2022 probably isn't gonna be the best year for Web3 but also not for other things. We were thinking what could be the best sustainable solution and we have found out that the best perspective would be focusing on the people itself and how they can help each other in need.
Implementation
The Project does a few things already, but phase2 still needs to be developed. The most basic implementation is that anyone can submit a request who is in trouble ( for example if somebody's house has been destroyed by an earthquake or simply has been hacked, then he or she can request a little money for assistance. Of course in this case they will need to add some proof, DAO would not just give out money for everyone who requests it ). After the request the governor can validate the request and decide whether it is worthy to put on a voting period. If the governor deems it appropriate, then the voting period begins. If the voting period ends with more yesVotes than noVotes then the governor can send the requested amount to the target in need (Governor can aldo change the amount if he thinks it's too high)
Right now only those people can vote who have made some donation in the DAO. Of course later on we plan to change this, so a dedicated team of charitable people can steer the decision of this DAO.
Tecnhologies
We have used Solidity, Vue.Js, Moralis and tailwindCSS.
How we got here
As we were learning new things, we have run through a lots of issues regarding the smart contract connections which drained a lot of times from us. The other issue we have faced is the idea was not clear in our heads, it also take some hours to finalize how we should start the project and what 2 days is going to be enough and what we can build during this time.
Our experience
The most learning part we have made was Moralis. We have decided to use Moralis to connect to our smart contracts with our frontend. We have also learnt that we need to have a more clear picture in our head before we start the hackathon.
Our thoughts
We are really happy that actually we were able to came out with something in the end and also we are looking to continue this project on as it has a lot of potential values in.
Future
I think the real power in Red-Cross-Crypto is actually when the first phase (currently implemented) and the second phase (already started, but not finished) starts to work together. When people start knowing about it and willing to lend their services by adding their knowledge and traits or how they can help with other people. Everyone will be able to join as Volunteer and lend their services ( let's say a doctor can provide help somebody who has an emergency health issue, or somebody can offer food to a person, who has lost his job recently, many opportunity can be found here ). The volunteer people will be rewarded with NFT-s which will have some quite interesting perks over the time.
Regarding it's finance part, if phase 2 will be built, actually people can also start exchanging money if somebody helps somebody out, we leave it here as an option, but I believe if we will be able to build up a site where actually people can see the network working and find the assistance they need, it would work out in the long term whether we are in a bear market or not.
