Inspiration

With the theme legacy, we felt a connection to retro-tech; something that was a part of our story to get here today, growing up using and loving this tech so we decided to pay homage to it through our styling in this way. We aimed to build bridges, and decided to build the bridge between computer science and socialising (things that are unfortunately very very difficult to connect...)

What it does

By scanning a qr code on your personal device and filling a sliding scale form, an optimised vector cosine similarity algorithm using blossom maximum graphing algorithm will calculate and output each participant their highest match therefore optimal pairing

How we built it

Using Django python, html and css; tasks were delegated to cover the areas of human-computer interaction, web design, mathematical algorithms and idea solidification

Challenges we ran into

Unexperienced github users not knowing how to push, slowly losing the experienced members over the night (leaving to sleep or party?!). A lack of schedule planning/task progression has left the repository in chaos.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We learnt how to use git!

What we learned

Git, vector/graph algorithms (cosine similarity and blossom) and how to create a webpage project!

What's next for Red Bridge Theory

Probably polishing the code before moving forward....
