Our group was inspired by the number of people who don't know which items are recyclable or non recyclable and continue to use the wrong bin!
What it does
Our project helps educate people with the help of QR codes and a quiz. Now the user is able to learn which bin to use (garbage or recycling) depending on the items they would like to dispose.
How we built it
The front end used a combination of html and css while the backend of our project required more advanced things such as mysql data base, google cloud and more!
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a handful of challenges including getting the html on the about us page to be formatted correctly and connect the mysql database with google cloud ignorer to retain user info.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we've managed to overcome the challenges we've faced while building this project despite being a group of 2.
What we learned
We learned to code using languages we weren't familiar with before and we had to step out of our comfort zone to do so.
What's next for Recyclyt
We are planning to have more major updates for Recyclyt and improve the quality of the website as well as add more unique features.
