Inspiration

All over the world, the waste management problem has managed to become a billion-dollar critical issue that needs immediate attention In Bangladesh, open dumping practice is leading to various problems like pollution and health hazards. Both surface and groundwater are affected by this. In fact, groundwater is in a critical state. Current procedures are not ideal and hence, the waste management crisis.​ Our traditional and outdated waste management practices have created a big distance between waste producers and Cleaners.​ Lack of a proper waste management system has managed to put an irreversible negative impact on our overall GDP​

What it does

So here comes our solution to this massive problem, we are introducing RecycloBD that offers you to send away your unused products or your scrap materials to proper places. We offer you several options like

Donating your unused products to those who need it Sell Industrial scrap products to the scrap buyers Buy recycled products

How we built it

We have built this app in the native environment first, mainly on the android platform We have used

Android-studio as IDE, ** Java as our core app language*, **Adobe Xd for UI/UX design, **XML for view design* Firebase for database JSON

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge was to visualize the app in a way that can actually be used as a user-friendly app We faced some difficulties while using different types of API, while coding we faced some issues like working with fragments, organizing them in android studio, etc.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Implementing the MVVM design pattern in our app Creating the UI The whole coding experience that helped us to turn our raw ideas into an actual app.
