Inspiration -- We were inspired by other countries effort in fighting climate change
What it does -- Our web will display two different option, if you click on the left side it'll take you to a chart of materials you're able to recycle, and a list of items that belong in the category. If you click on the map side, it'll take you to google maps where you can easily identify locations that participate in recycling
How I built it -- We primarily used React to create different components, and implemented google firebase to create a contact us form.
Challenges I ran into -- The planning and communication was the toughest part.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of -- I've started my web dev career less than a month ago and I was able to make my ideas come true within 24 hours. I believe my idea can be further improved and can educate the consumers, then encourage them to recycle.
What I learned -- React can be a powerful tool, but it is hard.
What's next for Recycle Refund -- We will have to polish up the design then include API to make it a reliable source.
