Inspiration
College students have trouble remembering what trash goes where, the solution to this issue is to teach kids early in hopes of taking care of the planet.
What it does
Teaches kids in a fun and interactive way on how to dispose of different waste types.
How we built it
We as a team used AI for the foundation of our project in vs code, and spent time refining and adding our own elements of function and design
Challenges we ran into
Early on, we struggled to start the project as this was our first project/ hackathon. We were unsure of what platforms/ software to use including GitHub.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having a working project that looks presentable, with a user and child-friendly design. Also proud of learning how to use GitHub collaboratively and coding in unfamiliar languages.
What we learned
There are multiple aspects of a working project, including the need for different languages. We learned how to merge and share code as a team.
What's next for Recycle Game
Expand the item inventory to include more puzzling items, and include a start page, end page, and animations for correct/ incorrect answers. Also, we could tailor the game for different age groups such as teens and adults.
