Recyclaro AI
Inspiration
The idea for Recyclaro came from years of working in global sourcing and raw-material supply chains across 20+ countries. I saw firsthand that recycling is a massive industry, but the supply chain remains highly fragmented. Buyers struggle to find reliable secondary materials, while suppliers struggle to find the right buyers, manage compliance and demonstrate environmental impact.
We wanted to solve this by building the digital infrastructure for the recycling economy.
What it does
Recyclaro AI is an AI-powered B2B platform connecting verified recyclable-material suppliers with industrial buyers.
It brings together:
AI-powered material sourcing and supplier matching Curated procurement and material trading EPR compliance and documentation Supply-chain traceability Logistics and transaction workflows Carbon-impact measurement and future carbon-credit opportunities
Our goal is to make recyclable materials easier to discover, source, trade, trace and measure.
How we built it
We started with the real-world recycling supply chain rather than building technology in isolation. We mapped the workflows of suppliers, recyclers, traders and industrial buyers and identified where technology could remove friction.
We built a B2B marketplace supported by AI-driven matching, structured material and supplier data, verification workflows, procurement tools and compliance infrastructure. We are now adding a carbon-intelligence layer to connect recycling transactions with measurable environmental impact.
The platform is being developed iteratively using real customer interactions, transactions and feedback.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was digitising an industry that has traditionally depended heavily on relationships, brokers, phone calls and informal networks.
Material quality and specifications can vary, pricing changes quickly, logistics are complex, and compliance differs across material categories. Building trust while standardising these fragmented processes has been one of our biggest challenges.
We also learned that simply creating a marketplace is not enough. Supply has to be verified, demand has to be real and transactions have to be fulfilled.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that Recyclaro has moved beyond an idea into a live, revenue-generating platform.
US$100K+ revenue generated 100+ industry participants onboarded Real recyclable-material transactions and procurement activity Live web and mobile platform AI-powered sourcing and matching capabilities EPR and compliance workflows under development Carbon-impact and carbon-credit infrastructure under development
Most importantly, we have validated that businesses are willing to use technology to improve how they source and trade secondary materials.
What we learned
Our biggest learning is that recycling is not just a waste problem—it is a supply-chain problem.
The value lies in connecting fragmented supply with predictable industrial demand while solving trust, quality, pricing, compliance, logistics and traceability.
We also learned that AI becomes significantly more powerful when combined with real-world transaction and supply-chain data. Every interaction on Recyclaro helps us understand the market better and improve sourcing and matching.
What's next for Recyclaro AI
Our next step is to make Recyclaro a much deeper AI-powered operating layer for the recycling economy.
We plan to expand our verified supplier and buyer network, strengthen AI-powered sourcing and procurement, scale EPR and compliance capabilities, and launch our carbon-intelligence layer to quantify emissions avoided through recycling and create pathways toward carbon-credit generation and transactions.
Our 5-year goal is to become the default supply-chain partner for recyclables across emerging markets such as India, Vietnam and Indonesia, while building a strong circularity and carbon business in Europe and the US.
Our 10-year ambition is to build a global network that connects materials, supply chains, compliance and carbon—helping move the world from a linear economy to a truly circular one.
