Recyclapedia

Recyclapedia is a mobile application that provides residential recycling information to the residents of the City of San Diego. It aims to answer the question: “What do I do with this?” by displaying both curbside and recycling center options for a variety of materials. The current version of the application provides recycling information for the City of San Diego using information from the City of San Diego Environmental Services website. In a future version, we aspire to expand beyond the City of San Diego as well as employ the camera to identify the type of item through a barcode reader or other algorithm.
