reCursor

reCursor is a Google Chrome extension that allows you to customize your cursor with a theme of icons! There are five different themes that each contain their own set of icons. Every time you click anywhere on your webpage, the cursor will change too!

Extension Set-Up Instructions

Download this repository and save it in a new folder.
Download the Chrome Browser here
Navigate to chrome://extensions in your chrome browser.
Switch on Developer Mode in the top right corner.
Click on the button labeled "Load Unpacked" located in the top left section of this screen.
Choose the folder where the repository is located.
Navigate to any other tab, and choose a theme in the popup window that appears from the extension.

Using JavaScript, I worked on the content script to be able to modify the cursor on the page. I also used CSS to style the pop-up menu's UI. The cursors and all additional graphics were also done using Adobe software. I also assisted my peers with debugging issues and combining our code into one.

I worked on the functionality of the JavaScript, CSS, HTML code. That includes, setting up communication from the google chrome extension to the webpage, creating the buttons and adding eventListeners. Assisted with creating the UI. Overall it was a collaboration effort that consisted of pair programming, and graphically organized planning.
