Inspiration

In a world full of AI based algorithms and personalized feeds, I feel there's a need for a little throwback to the world of taking recommendations from a stranger.

What it does

Recs Room is your cozy internet corner that allows you to share your extremely specific recommendation lists to the world, and get some back in return.

How I built it

Using react, tailwind i made a retro styled website that allows you to scroll and search through sweet recs as you listen to your favourite songs.

What's next for recs room

Longer term, I see Recs Room as a social, expressive platform where people can follow each other’s tastes, explore curated recommendations, and create themed collections. Almost like digital mixtapes, but for every kind of thing you love.
