Inspiration

Our motivation for Recrutly came from the challenges businesses face during traditional recruitment. Reviewing large volumes of resumes, identifying suitable candidates, coordinating interviews, and evaluating applicants can consume significant time and effort. Recruiters often need to manage these activities across different stages while keeping candidate information organized and making informed hiring decisions. We wanted to build a platform that helps streamline the recruitment process using AI, from initial resume screening to candidate evaluation. Instead of relying entirely on manual review and repetitive administrative tasks, Recrutly helps recruiters identify relevant candidates, organize hiring workflows, conduct AI-powered interviews, and review candidate insights in one place. Our goal is to make recruitment more efficient and organized while helping hiring teams focus on meaningful candidate evaluation and better hiring decisions.

What it does

Recrutly is an AI-powered recruitment platform designed to support multiple stages of the hiring process, from job creation and resume screening to interviews and candidate evaluation. The platform provides the following capabilities:

  1. Job Creation and Configuration
  2. AI-Powered Resume Screening
  3. Candidate Management
  4. Interview Scheduling
  5. AI-Powered Interviews
  6. Interview Analysis and Candidate Evaluation

How we built it

Recrutly was developed as a web-based recruitment platform that brings together candidate management, resume screening, interview scheduling, AI-powered interviews, and candidate evaluation. Technology and Platform Application: Web-based recruitment platform accessible through a browser. Frontend: React-based single-page application. AI Capabilities: AI-assisted resume screening, job-fit analysis, and interview evaluation. Recruitment Workflow: Job configuration, application intake, candidate management, interview scheduling, and hiring outcomes. Interview Processing: Interview session management, call registration and tracking, audio upload handling, and interview completion workflows. Multilingual Experience: Arabic-language application interface and Arabic interview support.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Managing the Entire Recruitment Lifecycle Recruitment involves multiple connected activities, from creating job openings and collecting applications to screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and evaluating candidates. Making these stages work together required careful workflow design and consistent candidate information management.
  2. Making Resume Screening Relevant to Job Requirements A resume may contain extensive information, but not all of it is relevant to a particular role. Supporting job-fit analysis requires connecting candidate experience and qualifications with the requirements of each position while keeping the results useful for recruiter review.
  3. Handling AI Interview Sessions Reliably Interview workflows involve session validation, call registration, tracking, audio processing, and completion. Managing these steps reliably is important to ensure that interview information can be processed and reviewed as part of the candidate evaluation workflow.
  4. Designing an Accessible Multilingual Experience Supporting Arabic introduces additional interface considerations, particularly right-to-left layouts and language-specific usability. We needed to account for these requirements while maintaining a consistent experience across the application's different recruitment workflows.
  5. Balancing Automation with Human Judgment Recruitment decisions have a meaningful impact on both employers and candidates. Our approach is to provide AI-assisted screening and interview insights that support recruiter evaluation rather than present automated outputs as a substitute for human judgment.
