Recipeasy

(Frontend only) . The idea was to find a way to help people waste less food. You would type ingredients into a search bar and it would produce recipes that use those ingredients (or were close).

Inspiration

The current issues with food insecurity at UBC was the inspiration for this project.

What it does

Front end only design! Interactive and has some animations but unfortunately was not able to get backend running .

How we built it

Using HTML/CSS/JS.

Challenges we ran into

Obviously, the backend does not work. But it was really fun trying to figure it out and still getting a cool design out of the process.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I did a design for my first hackathon back in November and the difference from then to now is super noticeable! I'm glad that I was able to improve and be able to create this project, when a few months ago I had a hard time linking file paths in my html files. I'm still not amazing but the fact that I'm getting better makes me really happy :)

SVG animations, scroll animations, and how to create a nice design.

What's next for Recipeasy

Hopefully getting the back end figured out and actually being able to use the website. There was a lot of difficulties with the API, but with more time I think I can figure it out.
