What it does

It asks the user for ingredients in their pantry, using this information as well as other resources, including certain restrictions or preferences. The machine then generates multiple delicious meal items according to their specifics.

How we built it

We created a front end as well as a back end; the front end consisted of HTML, and the back end consisted of Python code. We also had a gemini api to help connect these two interfaces.

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring the code worked efficiently and also combating api usage rate restrictions and api age restrictions

Making our website look stylish as well as finally finishing the project in an organized and well-coordinated manner.

What's next for RecipeAI

We hope to increase the number of options and users' choice of the type of cuisine. We will also create detailed food kit subscriptions tailored towards helping users with certain diseases or conditions. Overall, we believe this product can be used in daily life to ensure a healthy lifestyle around the globe.
