Initially, my idea was to build an AI tool that could transcribe TikTok and Instagram cooking videos , especially those without written instruction into structured, shareable recipes. However, after developing a prototype, I quickly realized the limitations of this approach, both from a legal perspective and due to the challenges of reliably feeding video content into OpenAI models (I initially experimented with screenshots).

Pivoting from that concept, I focused instead on leveraging Qloo’s strengths. This led to the creation of a restaurant recommendation app powered by AI. The app collects mood and preference inputs from a group of users, uses ChatGPT to summarize them into a natural language prompt, and then sends that prompt to the Qloo API to return personalized restaurant suggestions.

Time management was definitely a challenge, as I was balancing this project with a full-time internship while also working solo.
