Recipe Recommendation App

Many people often face the challenge of cooking cheap and healthy food. Our app allows you to accomplish both, by recommending cheapest food closest to user, personalized recipe, and proximity.

Inspiration

When one of our teammates stayed on campus for spring break, he had no idea what to cook the entire week. At the same time, he wanted to know the local deals on food. Some sites recommend you recipes and some sites notify you when local stores announce promotions. However, there are no solutions in the market to recommend healthy recipes based on currently discounted ingredients... until now!

What it does

It recommends recipes based on currently discounted ingredients in your local grocery stores.

How we built it

We used a prototype building platform to create the UI.

Challenges we ran into

We are not UX experts so we needed some time to design the most optimal user interface.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This project satisfies a real problem we have experienced ourselves.

What we learned

We learned useful UX concepts which will prove to be helpful in other projects.

What's next for our app

We would like to create a working prototype
