Inspiration
Have you seen those romantic Valentine's dinner recipes but didn't have the opportunity to share it with someone special? It is time to end the feeling of loneliness by making the most romantic dinner for yourself with our simple ratio converter! It doesn't matter how many people the recipes intended to feed, because the most important person is you!
What it does
Our converter takes a list of the ingredients of a recipe and converts it based on the number of servings that you want.
How I built it
Our team used JavaFX for the front-end visuals and used Java for the rest of the back-end development. We spent a long time talking about the ideas and eventually picked up this gem.
Challenges I ran into
It was hard putting everything together. All of us are first time "hackers" and we didn't really know how to put everything together as a team. None of us were experts in GitHub, so it was rough to combine out progress.
We also spent a long time debugging because each component was individually developed.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We all learned JavaFX even though none of us used it before! I am also proud that our product actually compiles and works!
What I learned
Teamwork makes the dream work, communication is key, learning is not hard if you are trying, GitHub is cool, we make a good team.
What's next for Recipe Ratio Converter
We will brag about it to our classmates first, then we might make it a phone app for people to download and use.
