Inspired by a shared love for cooking and health.

What it does

Allows for the automatic calculation of nutritional values for homemade recipes.

How we built it

We developed the backend using FastAPI in Python and developed the frontend using React in JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

We didn't know Python or JavaScript, nor did we have much experience in web development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have successfully developed a complete full-stack application that interacts with external API's on our first Hackathon.

What we learned

We learned multiple new programming languages/libraries, as well as how to interface frontend clients with backend API's

What's next for Ingredients Nutrition Calculator

In the future, we would like to integrate additional API's in order to expand our app's functionality such as ingredient pricing or recipe recommendations.
