Recipe Logger

This is a simple recipe app which allows users to enter their recipe name, ingredients, and cooking method. The app will store and create cards with all the details for each recipe and display them.

Inspiration

We love cooking, we enjoy it, and we wanted a way to record our own recipes in an app. However, we found that many recipe storing apps are costly. With this concern, we aimed to develop an app that remains simple, and intuitive app for the user to store their secret recipes in.

What it does

  • It stores the user's recipes and displays them in the form of cards.
  • It recommends tips and tricks on various topics such as: cooking, keeping a healthy diet, and finding new recipes.

How we built it

We started off with a basic template for a recipe app, and we customised to suit our needs. We accomplished this using HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

Challenges we ran into

The implementation of javascript in our application was one of our main challenges. We had no prior experience with this language and often, the code did not accomplish what we expected it to do. Nonetheless, through trial and error, we managed to iron out these problems.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the fact that we created a simple, user-friendly application while also maintaining a consistent design that is straightforward.
