Recipe Helper

Inspiration

Recipes from long YouTube videos are annoying to watch :( There are steps you get confused about but can't find, and you have to constantly backtrack while cooking because the video plays too fast.

What it does

Recipe Helper summarizes the video recipe into a text instructions. It also allows for searching within the video about specific steps you want to watch again.

How we built it

Using TwelveLabs API to get video related information and searching. We used a website for the user interface, and used flask to connect it to backend.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating frontend/backend was difficult.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of completing our project.

What we learned

We learned many new tools such as making a website and connecting the frontend and backend. As well as how to use APIs and creating effective prompts.
