Inspiration
We wanted to do something about the amount of food that is wasted around the world.
What it does
Our goal was to create a website where users could post recipes and search for recipes with ingredients. We weren't able to get this far because of time, and right now we just have what the website should look like.
How we built it
We built it using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We tried to connect it to the database where the recipes would be stored.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled the most with connecting the database to our code, and that is still in progress.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we were able to create the framework of a website in the limited time we had.
What we learned
We learned more about the three languages, especially JavaScript--this was the first time working with it for all of us.
What's next for Recipe Finder
We want to implement the ideas we were inspired by, as well as a few more functions like filtering based on dietary restrictions.
