Inspiration
Many Rutgers students have dietary restrictions and thus have trouble finding tasty food that they can eat. One of our team members Aditya is vegetarian.
What it does
Our project ended up not working. So we just have a page with information about books that we used as an example for our webpage layout formatting. Also if you click the picture of the cat a calendar pops up but you cant do anything with calendar.
How we built it
We used HTML for our webpage layout and CSS for styling. JavaScript was used for interacting and working with our API
Challenges we ran into
Communicating with our API, and accessing our data. We were able to use our API when we had it in an independent file but it didn't work when we had the code with rest of our code. Working with JavaScript
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our page layout and color scheme. Our friendship.
What we learned
Dynamic background animation. Using JavaScript.
What's next for Recipe Finder
Ideally we would make Recipe Finder work so we can access recipes The final goal would be that people could put in many different dietary restrictions such as Kosher and gluten free and we could provide the user with many recipes that work with it. Then the user could save recipes and add them to a calendar so they can plan out their meals for the week. The user could also be provided with nutrition information for the each day given their meal plan.
