Inspiration

My roommates and I collect receipts because the act of tallying up shared items is tedious

What it does

It scrapes receipt photo data to create an itemized list. Then, we have unique id links to send to people who can log in and claim and split certain items. The goal is to have it eventually look up UPCs and also link to venmo for totals.

How we built it

Dylan worked on the backend with Python OCR libraries, MongoDB, and Flask, and Pax and I worked on the front end using Svelte and Bulma.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges integrating the API with the front end and also the sheer amounts of different receipts to put through OCS

We are proud of our mascot and our OCR API

What's next for receiptly

We hope to revamp the front end design and get full functionality!
