Inspiration
Freelancers and small-business owners who keep receipts and statements on a NAS. Month-end matching takes hours, and uploading financial documents to cloud tools is what privacy-minded owners avoid.
What it does
It reconciles a month of receipts and invoices stored on the NAS against that month's bank or card statement, and saves a categorized reconciliation and a short exceptions list, without the documents leaving the device.
The user says "Reconcile my October receipts against the October statement." The Skill asks for any missing folder, reports counts (matched, ambiguous, unmatched, unreadable), asks before replacing an earlier result, and saves both files. The user opens the exceptions file and resolves only those items.
How we built it
Six delegated steps, each passing only the previous step's real result: find, extract, read statement, match and categorize, check for an earlier result, save. All five delegation states are handled; saving waits for NAS approval. Permissions: read the two named folders, write only the output folder; sources never change. Model: AI NAS local model. No external service, no scripts. Schema, rules, categories and output layout are linked references.
UGREEN capabilities by step: Files (file-agent): step 1, find receipts; step 5, check for an earlier result. Documents (document-agent, extract and reconcile): steps 2 to 4. Knowledge (knowledge-agent, save text): step 6, save results.
What makes it different
Cloud bookkeeping apps need uploads and bank connections; general AI chat guesses when two charges look alike. This Skill keeps documents on the NAS, uses fixed matching rules so a month gives the same result every run, and never resolves an ambiguous match.
Status
Implemented: SKILL.md with the delegated workflow, failure handling and overwrite confirmation, plus five linked references. It passes the official creation tool's check with 0 errors and 0 warnings. Pending NAS validation: extraction quality on phone photos of receipts.
Validation plan
Core test 1: 20 synthetic receipts and a matching statement; expect 20 matched, no exceptions. Core test 2: two receipts from the same vendor with the same amount one day apart and two matching statement lines; expect both listed as ambiguous with candidates. Edge case: a blurred receipt photo; expect it under exceptions as "unreadable: amount".
Known limitations
Extraction from poor photos. Foreign currency is flagged, not converted. Categories are editable keyword rules, not learned. One statement per run. Depends on the Documents capability on the final NAS build.
