Inspiration
When talking with the sponsors at the sponsors event, many companies like ETH and Axelar talked about the rise of web3, a new and improved way of creating applications. The idea is focused around decentralization, where individuals had ownership of the data, and this really interested us.
What it does
Our application allows businesses to create digital receipts that belong to a certain individual. Each individual has ownership of their own receipts and can use it refund their bought products.
How we built it
We built it using we Javascript, react, express, mongodb, and solidity.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many problems specifically those related to web3. One specific problem is being able to mint an nft from the frontend.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to create our first web3 application without any previous knowledge of blockchain.
What we learned
We learned the fundamentals of web3 and about decentralized applications as a whole.
What's next for Receipt 3.0
We are planning on packaging our application as an api service that can be purchased and used by companies who find it useful.
