ReCash

Inspiration

We personally experienced that when we travel to another country which uses a different currency, we often have some unused cash with us that we cannot change back to the currency that we want to have. This also makes those money a waste in production since it would most likely not circulate anymore.

What it does

We propose ReCash, a mobile application that connects travellers who want to exchange currencies among themselves.

How I built it

As of the moment, this is build on the Android Platform

Challenges I ran into

1. How do we make this exchange secure to address the issue of fake money and give users security that they would not be a victim of being mugged?
2. How do we generate revenue in this application?
3. How to use the APIs provided.
4. Continuous change while taking good notes from mentors and people we have talked to about their stories in the airport.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

1. We were able to create a working mockup that shows the flow and the basic components of what our app should do.

What I learned

1. Continue to validate your system with people and learn their pain points and concerns.

What's next for ReCash

1. We will plan to continue to study the feasibility of this project and to be really to be able to address the issues faced by people who travel.
