Inspiration

We drew inspiration from the art of storytelling and its prevalence in various cultures. We aimed to use AI to promote self-expression and creativity, much like how photography captures moments and immortalises them into pictures. Our goal was to enable users to leverage AI and transform their stories into artistic images, surpassing the confines of basic prompts for image generation, and creating a powerful tool for generating social media content.

What it does

Recapper is an advanced AI text-to-image generator that offers much more than conventional image-generation tools. With Recapper, you tell your story, and it takes care of the rest.

Recapper not only generates an image from your prompt but lays the ground for content creation success on social media. The user starts by telling the story, which could be a highlight of their day for instance, Recapper summarises the story's key moments, then asks you to choose the appropriate platform to post on and generates a post or caption accordingly. Additionally, Recapper offers advice on the best times to post and the best approach to take to optimise engagement by also generating top-ranking hashtags and offering a unique experience by suggesting a tailored list of music for the audio. It also provides a selection of 17 images in different styles to choose from, allowing you to create collages or carousel-like posts. Finally, Recapper creates a call to action to keep momentum and drive more engagement on your social media post.

Recapper is not limited to social media; it can be used to create journal entries, presentations, and mood boards, opening up vast potential for anything.

How we built it

We built Recapper using PartyRock, starting with a prompt and then editing it further to create the desired app's part. We chose the Claude model for the text widgets and the Stable Diffusion XL model for image-generating ones.

Challenges we ran into

PartyRock made creating apps a seamless experience, but the initial challenge was understanding the tools and prompt engineering.

We are proud that Recapper has turned out exactly as we envisioned, this has created a powerful tool that can turn anyone into a content creator, opening up endless possibilities.

What we learned

During the Hackathon, we were introduced to PartyRock and were amazed by its capabilities. We are grateful for the opportunity to discover this powerful tool and learn how it can help us reach our potential.
